*8* Total DOMINATION on UNDER Blazers/Clippers.
The Los Angeles Clippers are aiming to record a third consecutive win when they host the Portland Trail Blazers Monday night. Portland has done well in recent games as well though with three wins over its last four games, and I expect a tight low-scoring contest at Staples Center tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. The Trail Blazers D - Portland has held four straight opponents to 96 points or fewer and allowed the Clippers only 91 points in a 102-91 win at home earlier this month. Chris Paul and J.J Redick were stressed enough to shot a combined 2-of-9 from 3-point range in that contest.
2. Situational - The Clippers defeated the Timberwolves 107-99 last night and the under is 13-3 in their last 16 games following a S.U. win and 5-1 in their last six overall. Five of the Trail Blazers last seven have failed to climb over the total.
3. X-Factor - The Clippers are second last in the league in free throw percentage at 69.2%.
Selection: This is a play on POR@LAC to go UNDER the total (8*)
