*10* Total MASSACRE on UNDER Sabres/Red Wings.

The Buffalo Sabres put an end to a three-game skid when they overcame the Kings 2-1 in overtime Saturday. Goals have not come easy for the Sabres of late though, and I think we'll see a low-scoring contest when they visit the surging Detroit Red Wings Monday night.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Detroit's Defense - The Red Wings have earned at least one point in 13 straight games, much thanks to a sturdy defense that has conceded just 2.31 goals in regulation per game in that span. They held both the Caps and the Habs to a pair of goals last week.

2. Situational - Only one of the Sabres' last nine when coming up against a team with a winning record has gone over the total and the under is 14-6-6 in the Red Wings last 26 home games.

3. X-Factor - The Sabres have scored nine goals over their last four games, with only five of the goals coming with both teams at full strength on the ice.
