*10* Rose Bowl SIDE WINNER on Iowa.
The Iowa Hawkeyes won 12 straight games before losing a heart-breaker to Michigan State in the BIG10 Championship game, but they still punched a ticket to the Rose Bowl versus Stanford. They are getting a bunch of points here, and I think this is a far bigger game for Iowa than it is for Stanford.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Running Game - Christian McCaffrey finished as the runner-up for the Heisman, and he broke Barry Saunders total yards record. While the Cardinal have a big name in their backfield, the Hawkeyes have depth. Jordan Canzeri led the team with 976 yards and 12 TDs, but LeShun Daniels Jr., Derrick Mitchell Jr. and Akrum Wadley are all explosive.
2. Defense - The Hawkeyes have a stout defense that excels against the run. They limited opponents to just 114.9 rushing yards per game during the season. Stanford's defense ranks 71st nationally allowing opponents to average 375 total yards per game.
3. X-Factor - The Hawkeyes are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Bowl games.
Selection: This is a play on the Iowa Hawkeyes (10*)
