*10* GAME OF THE WEEK on Minnesota Wild.
The Detroit Red Wings will visit the Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center Monday night. Detroit opened a three-game road-trip with a 3-2 win at Nashville Saturday but it had won only one of its last five games overall prior, and I think Minnesota is looking good in tonight's match-up.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The Wild will be looking to bounce back from a 3-1 home-defeat to Pittsburgh Saturday and salvage a split on this four-game homestand. They have won five of their last seven at home though, and they're averaging a solid 3.00 goals per game at home while only allowing 2.16 goals per game in front of the home-town crowd.
2. Darcy Kuemper - The Wild netminder has compiled a 4-0-2 record with one shutout, a 1.26 GAA and .947 SV% so far this month. He's likely to get the nod tonight as Devan Dubnyk was injured at practice yesterday.
3. X-Factor - Detroit's Dylan Larkin has a NHL rookie-leading 13 goals this season, but he's likely to sit out for a second straight game due to an upper-body injury.
Selection: This is a play on the Minnesota Wild (10*)
