*10* SURE SHOT on Miami Heat.
The Miami Heat will be looking to end a two-game slide and attempt to beat the Dallas Maverickas for the eighth time in the last nine meetings when they host the Mavs at American Airlines Arena on New Years Day. The Mavs are coming into the game riding a four-game winning streak, but my money is on the Heat in this contest.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Situational - The Mavericks handed the Warriors their mere second loss of the season when they defeated Golden State 114-91 Wednesday. It was a an ideal situation for Dallas though as the Warriors were forced to play without reigning MVP Stephen Curry, and this looks like a classic letdown spot at Miami tonight.
2. Motivational - The Heat will be desperate to start the new year with a win after wrapping up 2015 with losses against Brooklyn and Memphis. They'll also be looking to re-establish their dominance in the series after losing 93-72 to the Mavs on Jan. 30 last year, after claiming seven straight meetings overall prior.
3. X-Factor - Chrish Bosh is 9-of-12 from behind the arc in his last two games and he's recorded six straight 20-point outings.
Selection: This is a play on the Miami Heat (10*)
