*10* SURE SHOT on Colorado Avalanche.

The Nashville Predators have lost three of their last four and mustered only 18 shots in a 4-1 home loss to the Jets Tuesday. A win won't come easy at Colorado tonight either, and I like the price we get on the Avs in this match-up.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Home Cookin' - The Avs opened a five-game homestand with a pair of losses to Chicago and Calgary, but they've won each of their last two since defeating both the Kings and the Blues. They've won five of their last seven when hosting the Preds who are 1-4 in their last five road games overall.

2. The Introduction of Ryan Johansen - The Predators acquired the 23 year old center from Columbus in exchange for blueliner Seth Jones Wednesday. While that is an affair that might pay off in the long run, Johansen will most likely need some time to settle into his new team and the team to adjust to him and adjusting to the loss of Jones.

3. X-Factor - The Avs have scored 11 power-play goals in the last eight contests and the Preds gave up two shorthanded goals on three chances their last game.
