This is a *7* SPECIAL on LA Kings.
The Colorado Avalanche had a four-game winning streak come to an end in a 6-1 defeat at San Jose last night. They're staying in California to visit the Los Angeles Kings here the next day, and I think they'll be in for another tough game.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Goaltending - The Avs are without their star netminder Semyon Varlamov due to a legal matter in Denver. They'll be forced to go with either Calvin Pickard for a second straight night or turn to 23 year old rookie Roman Will who made his first appearance ever when he relieved Pickard in last night's battering. The Kings on the other hand have a fully fit Jonathan Quick who is 13-4-1 with a 2.25 GAA in 19 career starts against Colorado.
2. Previous Meetings - The Kings have won six of the last seven meetings in the series and five of the last six on home ice.
3. X-Factor - The Kings' Milan Lucic sat out Sunday's 3-2 overtime win against the Sharks due to a one-game suspension, but he'll be back in the lineup tonight.
Selection: This is a play on the Los Angeles Kings (7*)
