*8* MONEY-LINE MASSACRE on Carolina Panthers.
The Carolina Panthers are favored to win Super Bowl 50, and for very good reason. Denver has failed to impress, winning a couple of close games against Pittsburgh and New England. Carolina has been unstoppable all year long, and it's coming off a blowout win over a very good Arizona team. Denver's strength is in it's defense, but after seeing the Panthers pile on 31 points in the first half against the Seahawks in the divisional round, there might not be a defense in the NFL that can stop Cam Newton. My money is on the Panthers to get the outright win.
Here are my keys to the game:
1, Quarterback Play - The tale of the tape favors Cam Newtown. He threw for 335 yards and two TDs in the win over Arizona in the NFC Championship game, and he's thrown for 35 TDs and just 10 INTs this season. He also had a pair of rushing TDs against the Cardinals, and he's run for 636 yards and 10 TDs. Manning is well past his prime, and he had a terrible season throwing almost twice as many picks (17) as touchdowns (9).
2. Offense - The Panthers are the highest scoring team in the league, averaging 31.3 points per game. Cam Newton's ability to move the chains with his arm and his legs makes then very difficult to stop. The Broncos only managed 275 total yards last week, and that's just not going to be enough here against Carolina.
3. X-Factor - The Broncos have failed to cover in six of their last eight playoff games, and they have been on the wrong side of three of the biggest blowouts in Super Bowl history.
Selection: This is a play on the Carolina Panthers (10*)
