*10* Total MASSACRE on OVER Lakers/Pelicans.
The Los Angeles Lakers are traveling to Smoothie King Center Thursday night looking to build on a 119-115 victory over Minnesota Tuesday, their first win in 11 attempts. I think we'll see a high-scoring affair against the Pelicans who will be poised to end a two-game skid.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. The Visitors Defense - The Lakers have allowed 100 points or more in all but one of their last 11 games. They're giving up 109.5 points on average on the road where nine of their last 14 have gone over the total.
2. The Pelicans' Recent Games - The over is 9-1-1 in the Pelicans last 11 overall and they had averaged 110.2 points per game over a 7-2 span prior to running into the superb defenses of Memphis and San Antonio.
3. X-Factor - The Pelsicans three-time All-Star Anthony Davis missed the 95-91 loss at Los Angeles on Jan. 12 but is fit for fight tonight coming off a 28-point performance against the Spurs last night. He has averaged 25.0 points on 66.3% shooting with 9.6 boards in his past five meetings with the Lakers.
Selection: This is a play on LAL@NOP to go OVER the total (10*)
