*8* SURE SHOT on Calgary Flames.
The Calgary Flames looked sharp in a 4-1 win over Carolina in their last game, and they will be favorites at home tonight, hosting Columbus. The Blue Jackets picked up two points in Vancouver last night, slipping past the Canucks in a shootout. Columbus could suffer a let down here tonight, in the second game of a back-to-back.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - Calgary has been far better at home that it has been on the road, with a record of 15-10 at the Saddledome. The Jackets haven't had much success on the road, going 11-17-1. Johnny Hockey leads the Flames with 21 goals, and he's scored 18 of those on home ice.
2. Goaltending - Not only are the Jackets without their #1 goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, they are also without #2 Curtis McElhinney. They've gotten solid play from rookie netminder Joonas Korpisalo, but he might get the night off after playing last night. If Korpisalo rests, they will turn to fourth stringer Anton Forsberg, who is 1-3 with a 3.30 GAA.
3. X-Factor - 21 year old center Sean Monahan scored a goal and three assists, recording a career high in points in the win over Carolina on Wednesday.
Selection: This is a play on the Calgary Flames (8*)
