*8* SURE SHOT on Philadelphia Flyers.
The Calgary Flames are coming to Philadelphia to take on the Flyers as losers of four straight and seven of their last eight. Odds are they'll struggle tonight as well.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Motivational - Philly has won four of its last six to climb only three points behind Pittsburgh for the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. Calgary on the other hand is all but out of the playoff race in the West as it currently holds the second worst record in the conference and is trailing Colorado for the last wild-card by 12 points.
2. Road Woes - The Flames' 9-17-3 road record is the second worst in the NHL. They've been outscored by a total of 11-4 in their last four on the road and will face a Flyers team that has opened a six-game homestand with back-to-back wins against Minnesota and Arizona.
3. X-Factor - Philly's netminder Michal Neuvirth has made six consecutive starts and he's 8-2-2 with a 1.94 GAA and two shutouts in 12 home games.
Selection: This is a play on the Philadelphia Flyers (8*)
