*10* NON-CONFERENCE SIDE OF THE WEEK on the New York Knicks.
The Portland Trail Bazers are still one of the hottest teams in the NBA, coming into New York as winners of eight of their last nine overall. They beat the Pacers in Indiana by a score of 111-102. This looks like a tough spot though, playing a third game in four nights on the other side of the country. My money is on the home dog.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - The Blazers have won six of the last seven in this series, but they have played close games at MSG. Portland won it's most recent game in New York by a score of 103-99, and prior to that they won by a score of 94-90. They are just 4-11-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings in New York.
2. Home Cookin' - The Knicks have gone under in five straight against Western Conference teams, and their 13 road wins are two fewer than the Knicks have at home.
3. X-Factor - Kristaps Porzingis was 0-for-6 from the field in his last game against Portland, playing just 19 minutes. He did have four blocked shots in the loss to Miami on Sunday. The rookie is among the league leaders averaging two blocks per game.
Selection: This is a play on the New York Knicks (10*)
