8* SURE SHOT on Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Tampa Bay Lightning breezed past the Detroit Red Wings in five games while the New York Islanders were taken to six games by the Florida Panthers in the conference quarterfinals. I think the Lightning will open the second round with a win home at Amalie Arena Wednesday night.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Rest - Three of the Islanders six games in the first round went to overtime including each of the last two that went to double-overtime, the most recent on Sunday. The Lightning on the other hand have had almost a full week to prepare for the game and that should be incredibly valuable in intense playoff games.

2. Ben Bishop - The Lightning netminder made 34 saves while shutting out the Red Wings when Tampa Bay eliminated the Red Wings on Thursday. He posted a 1.61 GAA and .950 save percentage in the series and has plenty of playoff experience as he guided the Lightning all the way to the Stanley Cup finals last year.

3. X-Factor - All but one of the Islanders games in the last round was decided by one goal, and their edge in the series came from a power play unit that went 5-for-21. Goals on the man advantage will come at a premium tonight though as Tampa Bay killed off 24-of-25 shorthanded situations against Detroit.
