The Chiefs have now won the Super Bowl in two out of the last four years and I think they carry over that momentum here on Opening night. The Lions took a big step forward last year and the expectations could not be higher in Detroit.

Of these two teams though, it's the Lions that I feel could suffer a big letdown this year.

There are still plenty of question marks about this Detroit defense, and despite Patrick Mahomes having some new faces in his offense, I just can't see the Chiefs floundering here on Opening Night. In fact, I expect the opposite, as they look to run up the score early and take control of this one from the "get go."

With back-to-back home games after this vs. Seattle and Atlanta, I say Detroit gets caught looking ahead.
