ROGERS' TOTAL CONFIDENCE: 14-4 NBA RUN!
(NBA) New Orleans vs. Detroit,
Total: 214.00 | -111.00 Over
Result: Loss
The Pelicans and Pistons’ combined record is 30-69 (straight up). But both have been playing (somewhat) better recently. Since a horrible 3-16 start to the year, the Pelicans have basically played .500 ball. The Pistons are 5-7 in their last 12 games, still not good, but a marked improvement from losing 30 of their first 37 games.

So expect some points in this Tuesday night matchup. Now I know the Pelicans have lost four in a row and haven’t scored 100 in the last two. But expect better shooting here, especially if leading scorer Brandon Ingram returns. The Pelicans also have to start making some threes. In the last three games, they’ve gone 19 of 96 from long-range. That’s just 19.8 percent!

Detroit is not known as an offensive force, but they just scored 115 in a win over Cleveland on Sunday. The past six games, a stretch where the team is 5-1 ATS, has shown sizable improvement at the offensive end.

Neither team is all that good defensively. New Orleans just gave up 27 points in the final nine minutes in a loss to Cleveland last night. By the way, when playing with zero days rest, the Pelicans give up 113 points per game and have won just once.

The Over is 16-6 the last 22 times Detroit has been favored.
