Buffalo has been winning more than losing lately and no one has defeated them by more than a goal in 7 games. 6 of those 7 games have gone into overtime. The Sabres have scored 21 goals in 6 games; not bad for a team that has averaged 2.7 goals a game for the season. They have also allowed 22 goals in that time, with the total going over frequently.

The Preds, whose mixed play may have them on the outside looking in as far as play-offs go, have won 2 straight. The over has figured in 8 of 10 games. Other than in a pair of losses to Vegas and LA, the Preds have been a bit of a scoring machine, and should have success with the Sabres’ 26th rated defense. The Predators’ goals against average has been nothing to be proud of lately, and the usually dependable Saros has had some rough outings. I am not counting the Sabres out in this matchup.
