Boston's very veteran pitcher Rich Hill wasn't quite as effective last year and bombed in the spring. It is possible that age is starting to catch up with him. He faces Tyler Alexander, an underrated Journeyman and sometimes starter, who had an effective 2021. Alexander has had a very strong spring. The Sox have played 5 days straight, and haven't looked their best yet, losing 3 of 4. They are on the road and missing Trevor Story. The Tigers are not the pushovers, they have been, as witnessed on Monday. Hill's age and rough spring has me nervous. I favor the Tigers to keep this game close. Take Detroit +1 1/2.
