Neither the Jackets nor the Senators have amounted to much this season, although both have shown promise at times; Columbus on offense, and the Senators with an ability to win unexpectedly. Ottawa has held their own against top teams lately, and has won as many as they have lost in their last 10 games. They are better on the road than at home this season.

The Blue Jackets have lost 3 straight, and 7 of ten. Their defense is flawed and their goaltenders have faced the 2nd most shots this year. Their top scorer is questionable for tonight. In a game that won't matter to anyone else, I see the Senators as the more motivated. Look for Ottawa's fine young offensive trio to rule the roost today. Senators, a small underdog, will steal this one.
