Result: Win
Point Spread: -1.50 | 100.00 Houston (Home)
Result: Win
The Astros lost their last series against Boston, so will be out to restore the natural Astros order in their home series vs the Rangers. Rangers starter Glen Otto (6.38 ERA) has shown promise this year, but he was shelled in his last outing, with control becoming an increasing issue. Lefty Framber Valdez (2.97 ERA) starts for the Astros. His last outing was a 7+ inning gem, and after a poor start in April he has been progressively better in each appearance.
The Astros are tops in the league in OPS in their last 10 games, 12-3 in May and a very good home team. Texas has won 3 straight, but have had no success at all in Houston and are hitting just .167 in their last 10 games vs. left-handed pitching. They face a team that are hitting better, defend better and have a stronger bullpen. Take the Astros on the run line at – 1 ½.
