The Diamondbacks' Gallen has pitched exceptionally well at 4-0, 2.94 ERA, and has been masterful against the Giants, allowing just 3 runs over 11+ innings. His opponent, the Giants' Logan Webb, has also been very fine, but more prone to an off-day. He gave up 4 runs against them in July. The D-backs and Giants have split the first 2 games of the series. With the D-backs not the best road team, I would usually lean towards SF today, however Gallen is a better bet for another fine outing and the Giants, for whatever reason are horrible when playing on Thursday. Just a statistical fluke? While a Diamondbacks win is not at all unlikely, these two teams have played it tight. I fully expect Arizona to at least keep this game close. Take the Diamondbacks on the run line at + 1 1/2.
