At 8:10 ET, my Cake-Walk is on the Kansas City Royals. I backed the Royals yesterday and they didn't show up for me. Today's matchup is favorable for them to bounce back. Witt receives the headlines but Lugo is also a big reason why the Royals are where they are. He's 13-5 with an exemplary 2.57 ERA ERA. Lugo wins, dominates and goes deep into games. Not only is he tied for the most wins but Lugo has pitched the most innings. Skubal (and Burnes) may be ahead but Lugo deserves serious Cy Young consideration. Not so for Bello as he has an ERA above 5. Play on KC.
