This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the OVER between the Houston Astros and the New York Yankees.
Both Charlie Morton and CC Sabathia are coming off much better than expected regular season campaigns. There is no question that their performances this year played a part in their team's respective success to this point.
But after back-to-back 2-1 victories for Houston at home to open the ALCS, we're expecting a much more offensive affair in Game 3.
Note that Houston has seen the total go OVER the number in 13 of 21 road games this year when the total in the contest is set between 8 and 8.5 and in 20 of 35 after three or more consecutive SU victories, while New York has seen the total go OVER the number in 18 of 32 home games when the total in the contest is set at either 8 or 8.5.
The bottom line: The shift in venue results in a higher-scoring slug-fest in Game 3, play the OVER.
