Schule's 10* NHL GRIM REAPER B-L-O-W-O-U-T!
(NHL) Toronto vs. Colorado, 11/06/2014 4:00 PM, Score: 3 - 4
Money Line: -120.00 Colorado (Home)
Result: Win
This is a 10* play on the Colorado Avalanche.

Just a year after the Avs finished first in their division, they find themselves in the Central Division cellar with just 11 points. They look to get back on track at home tonight, and they face an ideal opponent in the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs. How happy are Leafs fans with their team's start to the season? They have been throwing jerseys on the ice at recent home games at Air Canada Center.

Patrick Roy has elected to rest his starting netminder Semyon Varlamov, but backup Reto Berra has superior stats with a record of 1-0-1, 2.07 GAA. The Avs will likely be focused on playing better defense, as they've been giving up far too many shots on their own net so far this season.

Colorado's coach seems optimistic about turning things around: "What I see right now, maybe we have a lack of confidence, especially offensively," Roy said. "We've been struggling scoring that big goal. "Maybe I'm a positive person, but we're not far off."

There is certainly a case to be made that they have simply been unlucky, losing seven games by just one goal, five of those in overtime. It's only a matter of time before the puck starts to bounce their way.

Take COL.
