The #16 ranked West Virginia Mountaineers will host LSU on Thursday, and they are asked to cover a significant number of points against a tough SEC team. The Tigers have been guilty of underachieving so far, with a record of 5-2, losing Clemson and Old Dominion in last week's Virgin Islands Paradise Jam.

LSU is coming off a blowout victory over Massachusetts though, cruising to an 82-60 win. They haven't upset a Top 25 team on the road since 2005, losing 14 straight road games against ranked opponents. The last ranked team they beat on the road, was these very same Mountaineers by a score of 71-68 in OT.

The Mountaineers are 7-0, and many of those victories have been blowouts versus weaker teams. They have also been involved in some close games, defeating Boston College by a score of 70-66.

Senior forward Jonathan Holton scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in a win over Charleston, but he'll face a much bigger LSU frontcourt with 6-8 Jordan Mickey and 6-10 Jarell Martin.
