Philly will host the Ottawa Senators in a Saturday matinee game, and this is a "must win" for the Flyers. Philly is clinging to the eighth and final playoff spot in the East, currently tied on points with Detroit, but the Flyers have two games in hand. The Sens have nothing to play for, already eliminated from post-season contention. Ottawa rallied to score a late third period goal to beat Minnesota on Thursday, and I think coming off a win is just going to make Ottawa even more complacent on the road in a meaningless game (for the Sens) with the season winding down. Special teams has been a disaster for Ottawa all year long, with the 28th ranked power-play and the 29th ranked penalty killing unit. Philly is 6-2-1 at home versus the Sens over the last six seasons, and they won the most recent meeting by a score of 4-2 in Ottawa. The Flyers are 9-2-1 in their last 12 overall, and goaltender Steve Mason is 8-2-2 with a 1.88 GAA over his last 12 starts.
