They came very close to blowing a big lead, getting out-scored 30-20 in the fourth quarter by a shorthanded Kings team without DeMarcus Cousins. The Heat's leading scorer Dwyane Wade sat out last night's game with a sore neck, and it doesn't sound like he's going to play tonight in Portland. He said he was very unlikely to play, adding: "The impact I made when I hit the floor, my lower back is real sore."
Portland is on a roll, coming off a 116-109 home win over the Celtics, and they have won six straight in Rip City. The Heat have failed to cover in four of their last five road games, and four of their last five versus Western Conference teams. Portland has scored an average of 114.5 points while winning 10 of it's last 11 home games. They've been lighting it up from beyond the arc, with 28 made three pointers in their last two games.
