The Royals are sitting in first place in the AL Central, and they will host the second place Tigers tonight. Detroit still has plenty of big bats in the lineup, but the same old problems remain, with a below average pitching staff and an unreliable bullpen.

Yordano Ventura will toe the rubber for the Royals, and he's coming off a stellar performance. The 24 year old flamethrower allowed on run on four hits, striking out six in as many innings in a no decision versus Houston. He's still looking for his first "W", but the Royals have won both his starts so far, and he boasts a 2.45 ERA in 11 innings of work.

The Tigers hand the ball to Shane Greene, who pitched well in a win over Pittsburgh in his first start. The 27 year old has a career ERA of 5.26, and he was 2-5 with a 9.16 ERA on the road last year.

Kansas City is known to have the best bullpen in baseball, and so far in 2016 it's more of the same, as the Royals lead the majors with six saves.
