The Coach's MLB AL Central ANNIHILATOR - Twins@Tigers
(MLB) Minnesota vs. Detroit, 05/14/2015 9:08 AM, Score: 1 - 13
Money Line: -163.00 Detroit (Home)
Result: Win
The Detroit Tigers have won just one of their last four and the Minnesota Twins defeated them last night to tie this three game set at Comerica Park 1-1. I like the Tigers to get the job done and claim the rubber-match this afternoon though.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - The Twins will hand the ball to Mike Pelfrey (3-0, 2.62 ERA) who's yet to take a loss on the year. He held the Tigers to two runs (one earned) on three hits over seven innings home in Minnesota on April 28 but has struggled at Comerica Park over his career going 1-3 with a 6.45 ERA. His numbers overall for the season are pretty impressive, but he's struggled in day-games where he's surrendered six runs on 12 hits with two homers and allowing opponents a .364 batting average over 8 1/3 innings of work. The Tigers will counter with Anibal Sanchez (2-4, 5.44), who conceded three runs and nine hits when matched-up against Pelfrey earlier in the season. He's had the better of the Twins home at Comerica more often than not though where he's 3-1 with a 1.82 ERA in five meetings.

2. Road Woes - The Twins have won just one of the last six meetings in Detroit and they're 2-6 in their last eight road games against a team with a winning home record.

3. X-Factor - Joe Mauer has just two hits over his last 18 at bats against Sanchez.

Selection: This is a play on the Detroit Tigers (8*)
