The Coach's MLB Runline *PUNISHER*
(MLB) LA Angels vs. Baltimore, 05/15/2015 3:05 PM, Score: 3 - 1
Point Spread: 1.50 | -175.00 LA Angels (Away)
Result: Win
The surging Los Angeles Angels are coming off three consecutive wins and have lef the park as winners in six of their last eight games. I like their chances of recording an upset and extending their winning-streak tonight as they'll face the Baltimore Orioles for the opener of a three game set at Camden Yards.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - The Angels will hand the ball to Jered Weaver (1-4, 4.98 ERA) who has had a disappointing start to the season after going 18-9 with a respectable 3.59 ERA over 34 starts last year. Perhaps his last outing is a sign of better things to come though as the veteran hurled a complete game shutout giving up just six hits and no walks in a 6-0 win against the Astros. He is 7-4 with a 3.46 ERA in 12 all-time starts against Baltimore and has limited Chris Davis to just seven hits over 34 at bats. The Orioles will counter with Wei-Yin Chen (1-1, 2.52 ERA) who admittedly has impressed so far on the season. If we look back on his previous seasons in the majors we can see a pattern of the 29 year old starting April strong only to fade off a bit in May though, and remember that he's 0-1 with a 5.23 ERA in two starts versus Los Angeles.

2. Slow Starters - The Orioles are just 2-8 in their last 10 during game 1 of a series and 1-4 in their last five with Chen taking the mound in a series opener.

3. X-Factor - Eric Aybar is coming swinging a red hot bat going 7-for-10 over his last three games and he's 2-for-4 with a homer and a walk in previous meetings with Chen.

Selection: This is a play on the Los Angeles Angels +1.5 (8*)
