*10* Independence Bowl SIDE WINNER on Tulsa.
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane will play Virginia Tech in the Independence Bowl, and Tulsa is a double-digit underdog. This will be Frank Beamer's last game on the sidelines for the Hokies, but my money is on the underdog to at least threaten to spoil the party.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Quarterbacks - Dane Evans threw for 3.958 yards and 22 TDs this season, while Hokies quarterback Michael Brewer posted rather pedestrian numbers in six starts for the Hokies.
2. Previous History - The Hokies are 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight neutral site games, and 7-15-2 ATS in their last 24 non-conference games.
3. X-Factor - Tulsa has covered the spread in four of it's last five bowl games.
