We have watched Cincy play twice and they are better than people thought they would be losing a ton of players and a new coaching staff. BYU has played 2 games back-to-back which were vastly better teams than Cincy, splitting 1-1 with Kansas and Arkansas, and at Arky they won SU as a double-digit dog, and we all saw what Arky did to the LSU defense last week in a game they should have won. Slovis at QB (former USC QB) is a solid QB for the Cougs, and we rate their OL and DL higher than Cincys. The Cougar defense held down a very talented QB Daniels on the road at Kansas last week. That said, this is in Provo at night on weekday. That alone is worth 3 points for home field, and accounting for the altitude as well. This will be a good game and we understand Cincy is tough against the run, but BYU is a throwing team. This line has moved from BYU opening at -2 to +2, and we cannot digest a 4-point line reverse especially with a prime time underdog at home. Cincy as a road fav here perplexes us to say the least. We lean home team here in a tough place for anyone to play.
