Like we always say, firing a coach during the season usually gives a team a short-term spike. Because Chip Kelly was not exactly beloved by his players, I look for them to be quite motivated to show Kelly was the reason why the team came up short. Not that they could truly prove that today, but the firing is a big intangible in an otherwise meaningless game.

Sure one may argue the Giants would rally around what could be the final game of Tom Coughlin, but those rumors are almost a yearly tradition. Plus his style hardly seems to inspire his team to rally around him.
