Not only is the Pit in New Mexico one of the toughest places to win on the road, but also UNM has played the tougher schedule ranked 80th while the Aztecs San Diego State is 108th.

This is the toughest stretch for SD State. San Diego State now enters the final five games of the regular season with unenviable task of having three road games, which includes contests at New Mexico, which is 79-9 at home since Jan. 10, 2009, and at UNLV, which is 47-10 at home since the beginning of the 2011-12 season.

New Mexico is certainly peaking at the right time, covering 8-of-9. These two teams are more evenly matched than the oddsmakers think and New Mexico has a home court worth more than the normal five points. With this being San Diego State playing their toughest back-to-back games, they fall flat here.
