Islanders at Flyers
(NHL) Islanders (NYI) vs. Flyers (PHI),
Money Line: -109.00 Flyers (PHI) (Home)
Result: Win
It's late in the season so we can do things like go with the Flyers as a favorite and not feel it especially risky, as Philly seems to be enjoying playing without worrying anymore about John Tortorella's glare from behind the bench, and wins in four of five under interim Brad Shaw into the weekend.
Maybe it's something Shaw is doing to unleash the offense, which has scored 25 goals across the past five games in its best stretch of the season. When pumping eight past the Rangers at MSG on Wednesday, Tyson Foerster netted a hat trick. As for the Isles, we wonder how secure Patrick Roy's position is behind the bench after a late-season collapse that included a public flogging of Anthony Duclair (who since stepped away from the team), rumors of an unsettled clubhouse, and only two wins in ten, including a humiliating 9-2 home loss to the Rangers on Thursday.
