T.M. Selection: Minnesota Twins.

I like the Minnesota Twins to win this game against the Texas Rangers on Friday. The Rangers just won 10-3 against the A's last night but they haven't looked great in their games lately and I see them losing in Minnesota here. The Twins have looked a lot better in their games lately, sweeping 3 games against the Royals, and they are only 1 game behind the Guardians for 1st place in their division so I expect them to give their best effort here. Dylan Bundy (6-5, 4.76 ERA) is up for the Twins here and he hasn't looked great this year but he has looked a lot better in his starts as of late. He hasn't given up more than 2 runs in any August starts yet and I expect him to continue pitching well here when his team the needs the wins now. Martin Perez (9-3, 2.79 ERA) is up for the Rangers here and he has looked great in his starts this year, but he has started to look shaky as of late. He has given up 10 runs total in his 2 most recent starts, including a start where he was charged with 7 earned runs in that game. He hasn't pitched well against the Twins this year either, giving up 6 runs in his only start against them this year. The Rangers offense has been really up and down this year and I don't see them doing much here on the Twins. I like the Twins to win this game.
