This is a straight value play for me. The A's starter, Irvin, has posted a 7.45 ERA this season with just five strikeouts in his first two starts. I don't see any reason why you should be laying this price on a mediocre pitcher. The Tigers’ offense has been heating up as of late, last night notwithstanding, and is more than capable of hitting sub-par pitching. The Tigers Corey Mize had a strong start against the Astros last time out and things look like they may have turned around for him on the mound. Take the Tigers at + money in this one.
