The rookie his making first Major League start after appearing in six games in relief and allowing 11 hits, one run and one walk while striking out 12 batters in 13 2/3 innings. He's replacing Scott Feldman, who's being moved to bullpen. Devenski is able to give the rest of the bullpen a rest by breaking into his opponents. He doesn't get a ton of pitches in, but he has been keeping batters to just a .234 avg this season, and that isn't a fluke. The A's have struggled to embrace defensive shifts and Khris Davis is still struggling to hit off speed stuff, as his .231 batting avg indicates. Athletics are 2-6 in their last 7 overall and I like the Astros here as the Houston batters should tee-off on Jesse Hahn.
