Both Harrison Barnes and Wesley Matthews are solid guards - and neither turn the ball over much. Both defenses are about even - Dallas is slightly better, with their bench pulling that small margin even. Portland does have a large bit of inconsistency in them. Damian Lillard he has had more poor shooting games than great ones and he has played badly against lesser defenses. Dallas will be surprisingly fine vs Portland. Portland doesn't have a load of scoring at a top level to worry about. The Mavs players can squeeze any team when the going gets tough, especially down low. I find it hard to imagine that the Mavs are a better team than the Blazers, but they will handle their own on the road. Portland got pummeled on 1.14.2018 - when Jimmy Butler dropped 24 on them, shooting 64% - Dallas will do much the same. Portland are one of the strangest teams in hoops.
