The Angels brought up Reid Detmers to pitch for the injured Michael Lorenzen. Detmers was sent down to AAA for a reason. He has struggled big-time since throwing a no-hitter on May 10. He allowed nine runs over his last 9.2 innings and four home runs. He’s also had control issues. He faces right-hander Tyler Wells, who has allowed just three runs over his last four starts. The O’s are red-hot, winning five straight. It will be six after Friday.
