Result: Win
Houston just keeps on winning as they took Wednesday's contest by a 5-3 count to ensure a series victory regardless of what shakes out here. In this contest, the Astros send Luis Garcia to the hill as he comes in off back-to-back wins in his last two starts. Garcia has pitched very well at home this season, posting a 7-3 record despite a 4.88 ERA. He has posted a 1.15 WHIP, 17 walks and 68 strikeouts though he has allowed 12 homers over 62.2 innings at Minute Maid Park. He's cut down on the long ball a bit lately, allowing four homers in his last seven starts. Meanwhile, Minnesota is without Byron Buxton, who is on the IL with a hip strain, taking a big bat out of their lineup. Making things worse for the Twins is that they have Chris Archer on the mound. He's barely averaging four innings a start and has just one victory in his last 10 starts dating back to June 25. More galling is the fact that the Twins have lost Archer's last seven starts, including defeats to doormats like the Angels and Tigers. You can't rely on Archer, or the Twins, who have dropped five straight overall. Take the Astros as they get the victory here to sweep the set.
