Wake Forest Demon Deacons -13 (-110)
(NCAAF) Wake Forest vs. Vanderbilt,
Point Spread: -13.00 | -110.00 Wake Forest (Away)
Result: Win
Sam Hartman is back under center for the Demon Deacons, which can only help Wake Forest fire on all cylinders. Mitch Geddis was solid in his debut against VMI in the opener but Hartman was explosive last season. He completed 299 of 508 passes last season for 4,227 yards (7th in the FBS) with 39 touchdowns (tied for 5th in the FBS) against 14 interceptions. Vanderbilt has piled up a ton of points in their first two games, hanging 63 on Hawaii on the road before putting 42 on the board against FCS program Elon last week. The problem for the Commodores is that they have some issues on the defensive side of the ball. Giving up 31 points to a FCS program that isn't expected to be a threat in their conference has to be cause for concern against a Demon Deacons' offense that can pile up points. Hartman's announced return has driven the line up several points but the Demon Deacons' have too much firepower for the Commodores to deal with here.
