This is going to be an interesting season for the Lightning, who saw their long-time captain, Steven Stamkos, leave in free agency. Tampa Bay has to try and develop scoring beyond their top line of Jake Guentzel, Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point. They also have the worry of what Hurricane Milton may have done after going through Florida Wednesday night into Thursday. The back half of this home-and-home set Saturday at the Amallie Arena has already been postponed. Carolina retooled but they are at home and they are a veteran squad. Look for the Hurricanes to skate away with a win here to open the year.
