Money Line: -106.00 Tampa Bay (Home)
Result: Loss
The Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning are set for Game 1 in the best of seven series. The Boston Bruins took care of the Carolina Hurricanes in five games in round one of the playoffs. As a team, the Bruins are putting up 2.38 goals a game and on the defensive end, they are giving up 2.5 goals a game. On special teams, they are scoring on 17.9 percent of their power playa and are killing off 85.7 percent of their penalties. Boston is lead by Brad Marchand with three goals while David Krejci has added six helpers. Jaroslav Halak will have to carry the load in the net as Tuukka Rask left the bubble for family concerns.

The Tampa Bay Lightning also dispatched the Columbus Blue Jackets in five games. As a team, the Lightning are putting up 2.5 goals a game and on the defensive end of the ice, they are giving up 2.5 goals. On Special teams, they are converting on 13.3 percent of their power plays and killing off 87.1 percent of their penalties. The offense is led by Brayden Point with five goals and Nikita Kucherov has added seven helpers. Andrei Vasilevskiy has started every game for Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay struggled early against Columbus but was able to put them away. Boston is the lowest-scoring team left in the playoffs and that could cause them trouble against a team that can find the back of the net. I like Tampa Bay to draw first blood in a low scoring game.

Play on Tampa Bay.
