MLB 2
(MLB) Toronto vs. Miami,
Money Line: -131.00 Toronto (Away)
Result: Win
Toronto will have to forget last night's game as they go for a split in this two-game series with Miami. Toronto had a 2-1 lead going into the sixth inning but scored twice and came away with a 3-2 win. It was their second loss in a row after having their three-game winning steak stopped by the Baltimore Orioles. They are in the AL East, and are1.5-games ahead of Detroit for the final playoff spot in the American League. Hyun Jin Ryu will get the start for Toronto. He is 2-1 with a 2.92 ERA in seven starts this season. In his last outing, he went six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on eight hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.

Miami snapped a four-game losing streak with a win over the New York Mets and now have won two in a row with last night's come from behind win. Miami is tied for second in the NL East, three games behind the Braves and are fifth in the playoff picture but are just one game up on ninth-place San Francisco. Sixto Sanchez is expected to get the start for Miami. He is 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA, this season and this will be his third major league start. In his last outing, he went seve shutout innings allowing six hits with one walk and 10 strikeouts in a 2-0 loss.
Blue Jays are 4-0 in Ryu's last 4 starts on grass

The Blue Jays made a lot of additions to their pitching staff at the deadline, to go along with their young hitters as they make a push for a long playoff run. The Jays have a better offense and the pitching match-up looks even. I will take the Jays at this small number.

Play on Toronto.
