The Oklahoma Sooners come into this season a disappointing 1-1 so far this season. The Sooners won their opener 48-0 over Missouri State but were upset in their second game Kansas State 38-35. this past weekend. In their win over Missouri State, quarterback Spencer Rattler threw for 290 yards and four touchdowns. Against Kansas State things were different. Oklahoma built a 35-21 lead in the fourth quarter behind Ratller, who threw for 387 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions. The Sooners couldn't hold the lead.

Iowa State comes into this game at 1-1. They dropped their first game to Louisiana 31-14 in Week 1 but came back in week two and came away with a 37-34 win over TCU. In week 1 they led Louisianna 14-10 at the half but couldn't score a point in the second half. Quarterback Brock Purdy did not have a good game, throwing for just 145 yards and an interception. Breece Hall had 103 yards on the ground with a TD. Last week they came away with a three-point win. Purdy had a subpar game, passing for 211 yards and a touchdown. Breece Hall was a beast running the ball, gaining 154 yards and three scores on just 18 carries.

The Sooners are 3-7 ATS versus a team with a losing record and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games as a favorite. Oklahoma is 2-7 ATS in their last nine games overall. The Cyclones are 5-1 ATS in their last six games as a home underdog and 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 games as an underdog.

The Sooners offense has been humming along but their defense has not been up to a high level. Iowa State offense has been efficient this season and their running game is starting to pick it up. Iowa State does enough against the Sooner defense to keep this one close.
