Point Spread: 0.25 | -120.00 Los Angeles FC (Away)
Result: Win
Nashville is looking to climb into the top 3 of the Western Conference Rankings with win today over Conference leader LAFC.
Nashville isn't hot at home, having only won 1 of the last five home matches (losing to a terrible Sporting KC, Charlotte FC, and Drawing with San Jose and Atlanta). This data shows that they struggle against teams with good defense, and look no further than one of the best defensive team in the MLS with LAFC coming to town.
LAFC hasn't played since July 8th, so there gameplan could result in this matchup going UNDER 2.5 Goals, given some minor rust from not playing in a week (Nashville played 4 days ago). LAFC haven't been good away from home, recently losing @ Vancouver Whitecaps, and only winning 2 of the last 5 away games.
All in all, I can't shy away from LAFC on the Asian Handicap +0.25. Since both teams are decent scoring squads, I will side with the better defense in this game and the team with more offensive weapons (LAFC have Vela, Arango, and Cifuentes). LAFC will focus on stopping Nashville's best and seemingly only scorer Mukhtar from getting behind the defensive wall, which will force Nashville to get more creative if they want to score any goals today. If it ends in a DRAW, WE STILL WIN.
