NFL - Colts @ Broncos
(NFL) Indianapolis vs. Denver,
Total: 42.00 | -110.00 Over
Result: Loss
I'm not buying the Under in this game of desperate teams needing wins and both struggling to survive in their divisions. The money seems to be on the Under solely because of the recent play of both teams defense to start the season and the lose of both Starting RBs, but the injury list for both teams tonight are loaded with defensive players who helped generate the low scoring games we seen in weeks 1 and 2. The loss of JT for the Colts and Williams for Denver, means the ball will need be thrown more now that they can't rely on the success of their ground games. Matt Ryan has become more and more confident under center as the season progresses, throwing for 300+ yards in the loss to Tennessee and its common knowledge to Coach Reich that you shouldn't plan on running the football on this Broncos defense anyways. Patrick Surtain for the Broncos has been a lockdown Cornerback for the Broncos, which may limit Michael Pittmans success but there are still viable passing options for Matt Ryan like Alec Pierce, both Starting TEs and Nyheim Hines who are going to prolong this passing game and keep the Broncos guessing in the backfield. On the Broncos Side, Russ may be banged up, but the connection with Jeudy and Sutton will look even better tonight without Javonte Williams as Russ will move the ball up the field with ease against a Colts team missing their best defensive player Shaquille Leonard and Tyquan Lewis. This is going to be an close game, and I can't see the Colts putting up less than 20 points in this game, and if the Broncos are going to win (which I think they do) they will need 21+. My Score Prediction: 24 - 20 Broncos. Take the Over, or the Broncos, or just avoid this game.
