Bruce Boudreau has elevated the level of play for the Canucks last year, and even though they lost their first game of the season, they played a tough Oilers team who should be much better than the wishy-washy team they were last year due to injuries. So essentially this is a much more even matchup for the Canucks to show how potent this team can be in year 2 under new management. Flyers upset the NJ devils in the opener, and it's fair to say from last years data, that Vancouver are much better than the Devils which presents a tougher matchup for this young rebuilding flyers team. Demko is projected to start again at Goalie for the Canucks, and it should be a much easier time for him to show his elite skillset.
