MLB - Bluejays @ Diamondbacks
(MLB) Toronto vs. Arizona,
Money Line: -143.00 Arizona (Home)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -143.00 Arizona (Home)
Result: Loss
I'm on the Diamondbacks Moneyline at home vs the Toronto Bluejays for these reasons:
- Kikuchi is on the mound for the Bluejays. He's a left handed pitcher on a 5 start losing streak. He does have 111 strikeouts in 101.1 innings pitched, but he's very hittable, averaging 1.2 hits per inning on the road along with 2 runs per game away from home. The Diamondbacks bat .277 against Lefties, due to their allotment of superior rights handed batters. Kikuchi is going to be hit plenty, as he is giving up .276 batting averages to Right handed batters.
- Zach Gallen is on the mound for Arizona and he's 4-3 at home with a 2.36 ERA, averaging 1 strikeouts per inning, 1.7 earned runs per game, and 0.78 hits per inning (All Home Stats). He's beaten bad teams and good teams at home, and the Bluejays I'd say are middling when it comes to batting rotation. Bluejays are batting .236 vs righties, but struggle to score runs this season as we seen in the first two games of this series. Kikuchi gives the Bluejays a chance but inevitably the better batting untit and fielding unit will prevail.
Official Play: Diamondbacks Moneyline
Side Bet: Zach Gallen over 4.5 strikeouts
Hail Mary: Kikuchi over 5.5 hits allowed
