Im on the Mets here on the road vs the Miami Marlins for these reasons:

- Mets have looked good in their previous series, but have slipped 2 games this series vs the Marlins largely due to poor pitching starts where runs were given up early. Today David Petersen is on the mound and he’s averaging only 2 runs per game on the road and has a 4-0 record as a starter. Even though the marlins have won 2 of these 3 games of the series, they didn’t score many runs to dominate the Mets pitching staff that will be much better in this game.

- Marlins are about to sell players come trade deadline July 30th. Motivation can’t be high for guys who know they could be shipped out, plus the Mets are looking to tie this series 2-2.

- Yonny Chirinos has a 5.76 ERA and is 0-1 in his starts this season. Lefties are batting .353 and Righties are batting .291 vs him. Lindor, Bader, Martinez should all get hits on Yonny today.
